This brand new episode of Coke Studio@MTV Season 4, is our Indian Independence Special. On this exclusive episode, we see 3 prolific tracks, composed, arranged, produced and sung by some of the best talent in the country.
Beginning with a never-seen-before, exclusive collaboration of Punjabi music legend Gurdas Maan, featuring Diljit Dosanjh, singing along with him, on a track called Ki Banu Duniya Da. The track is produced and arranged by the talented Jatinder Shah, as an ode to our motherland with a strong message to the youth, as the future of our great nation; written by Gurdas Maan himself.
The second track is Produced by the supremely talented Bollywood Music Producer duo Salim-Sulaiman. Written in a celebratory space, this song has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh, with lyrics written by himself. Here we see a super-energetic dhol section, aptly support this beautiful upbeat composition, on the song that’s a tibute to our tiranga, the Indian National Flag, called Peer Manaawan Challiyaan.
Another debut happening on this season is of the supremely talented Producer-MC duo of Manj Musik & Raftaar. Flying the flag high, for desi hip-hop, they come flying out of the gate, with a track, that’s a fusion unlike anything seen before on the show. On this track, called Allah Veh, they take the a big leap ahead, singing about brotherhood and breaking down of barriers on this Independence Day. Featuring the soulful vocals of Jashan Singh, over lyrics written by Big Dhillon, and Raftaar delivering a hard-hitting, lyrically loaded rap, written by himself – this is one to get your ears perked, only on Coke Studio@MTV Season 4 – Indian Independence Speci2al.
